Project Proposal

To gain approval to work with BVMNH, MUSE had to submit a written project proposal and give a project presentation to the class.
Yesterday, we gave our presentation. In the presentation we explained our agency, why we wanted to work with them, and how we planned on helping them. We also gave a timeline of events and addressed any risks that might occur.
The presentation went smoothly! Our late night practice session really helped! The only problem was that the remote to change the power point slides stopped working. It ended up not being too bad of a problem; it just messed with our positioning a little bit.
With our written proposal, we really learned a lesson on time management. We broke the proposal into sections, with each person taking a section and set a due date to be submitted to Pam so that she could combine the paper and then we could all edit it. Unfortunately, several members were unable to submit their section on time which meant that Pam was unable to send it out early like we had planned. The consequence of this was that several members made revisions late into the night and there ended up being two versions! We were able to sort it out by the time class started, but we then found out that our proposal wasn’t due until a week later, when we actually presented! But that was ok. We didn’t have to worry about it anymore since it was done and we learned a valuable lesson.
