Choosing Our Agency

MUSE wanted to pick an agency that matched our passion for arts and culture. Also, an agency that worked with children was a must. 

The first agency we looked at was The Children’s Museum. We knew it worked with children (children after all were mentioned in their name). Also, it was a museum. Museums are all about arts and culture. It sounded perfect! However, after our initial contact with them, we realized that The Children’s Museum may not be perfect for MUSE.  The Children’s Museum already had several other groups contact them. MUSE really wanted to be the only group working with our agency.

So then we turned to The Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History. It’s a museum so it met our arts and culture requirement. Our only concern was did they work with children? We were excited to find out that they do! They host birthday parties and field trips, just to name a couple. There were plenty of opportunities to interact with children! As an added plus over The Children’s Museum, there was only one other group who had contacted them and BVMNH had lots of opportunities for each group to do something different.
